Bus Punctuality and Information Officer

To work in a busy and diverse office as a
key member of the Accessibility Section you will
continuously monitor the performance of bus services in the
area, working with partners to deliver improvements.
Your role:
-
To help improve the punctuality of bus
services in the South East Dorset conurbation marking
them more attractive to passengers and contributing to
reduced traffic congestion.

To support and promote the provision of
quality transport services.
-
To contribute to the delivery of the Bus
Information Strategies of Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset
Councils.

To produce regular monitoring reports
for both “commercial and contracted” services.

To extract and analyse performance
information from the Real Time Information (RTI) system
for services fitted with RTI equipment and assist with
data preparation.
You should :
-
Be educated to A Level standard or
equivalent including 5 GCSE’s to include English
Language and Mathematics.

Have good organisational and
administrative skills and an analytical thorough
approach to managing the workload.

Be commitment to delivering a high
standard of service and customer care.
-
Have the ability to work well as part of
a small team and to work under pressure.
-
Be IT literate and able to communicate
clearing both verbally and in writing to a variety of
audiences.
