The Borough of Poole is a high performing Authority whose council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, who are at the centre of everything we do. Our 2008 Joint Area Review report described services to children in Poole as “good” overall, and described “Staff morale, commitment and enthusiasm” as “outstanding.”

Our Safeguarding and Permanence Team provides a specialist service within the Children and Young People’s Social Care Services unit. We work in true partnership with children and their families, where Child Protection is a concern or where children are in care.

With excellent communication skills, the right candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated and have the ability to respond creatively to the needs of our children and their families.

The successful post holder must be a qualified Social Worker, (Dip SW or equivalent) and be registered with the GSCC.
