Poole is an exciting place to be a planner
and is one of the Government’s New Growth Points.
A significant post in a team responsible for strategic and
local policy making and delivery currently within a Unit
which has wide ranging corporate responsibilities including
economic development, research and intelligence, GIS,
community strategy and corporate performance.
With an aptitude for policy formulation and
the desire and ability to take a prime role in the
preparation of Poole’s LDF this is an ideal opportunity to
further your planning career. You should have a genuine
interest in spatial planning and commitment to community
involvement, possess project management and excellent
communication skills and competency in the use of IT
applications. Working across Council services and with
external partners you should be a good team player with
enthusiasm, self-motivation, flair and initiative.
You should possess a degree or diploma in Town Planning and
be a member of the RTPI. The starting salary will reflect
your experience and qualifications.
